Creative direction and visual design project for Ikram Essaghir for the release of her first EP. The challenge was to create a visual identity that would communicate the subjects of cultural integrity, immigration and self discovery. An introspective story to celebrate the survival of her heritage, while supporting her emerging voice within a contemporary music landscape.

Cover design, back cover, sleeve and vinyl record for physical and digital vinyl.
The project required a cohesive creative direction across multiple formats from vinyl artwork, photography, and music video. Ensuring the visual narrative remained consistent across both physical and digital platforms.
The habibi sounds and imagery reflect the attempt of one culture overpowering the other. Represented by a love story between an Arab man (gold) and an Amazign woman (silver). It evokes a toxic relationship of power and ownership. The desert represents her mind and deep heritage roots (blood) and it both battles and reconciles with the integrity.

The photography Art Direction centers on the idea of identity as both presence and memory. We focused on authentic and intimate imagery where we suggest her inward and outward journey of self.
